Hi Norma,
I appreciate your response. I went to Columbia last week and looked at Wm. Polson's will. I ordered copies and just got them a couple of days ago. I haven't had time to really get down and figure all the wording, so what you sent is of great help. I did look the places where AJ Crowley's mother was listed and I feel that it is Jenny Crowley. I am still up in the air about who his father was, Wm. Polson or ? Coker. What do you think? I had not been able to find anything on a Mory or Mury Coker and was beginning to question his existence. And at the same time wondered about Moses Coker, as he is listed on several census records. How do I get in touch with the on-line researcher that you mentioned?

I have also been in touch with Glen Perdue and Cora Lee Crowley in Chesterfield, both have done research on AJ Crowley, but have nothing on his parentage.

Again, thanks for your help. Without your posting on the Polsons I probably would never have found anything further on AJ Crowley. He would have been my brick wall.

Thanks again,
Carol
