Hey Carol,
William Polson was my g-g- grandfather's half brother. He was never married but did live with two different women at different times. The first one was "Jeury" or "Jenny" Crowley who was the wife of "Mory" or "Mury" Coker who left her shortly after marrying her. She was pregnant with AJ (Andrew Jackson) Crowley. She went to live with William. He raised AJ as his own son and even deeded him some land before he died. I believe AJ was Mory Coker's son by blood. In William Polson's estate papers it says that Jeury had several children but all of them died except AJ.
