Polson Family

Can anyone help me with information about Alexander Polson born about 1812 who migrated from Scotland to Dublin about 1842. He is first mentioned as a Provision Dealer in 1842, Bookseller in 1850.

He married a Mary Ann Dockeray, daughter of John Dockeray of Dublin. They had three daughters, Susan, Mary Isabella and Jane.

Our line comes from Mary Isabella who migrated to Melbourne, Australia about 1859 and in 1862 married George Bryant junior whose family had migrated to Hobart, Australia about 1835 from near Bridgewater in Somerset.

Grateful for any information.

Christopher Mayor, Bendigo, Australia.
