Hi Again Before I posted message #51 on this forum there was a confusion about Nancy Gordon which came from LDS "reports." Sharon Dolan saved the day with genuine data and I posted message #51 with what I felt was the best construction. The pertinent part is just below with some slight alterations. #51 Now that we have the whole complex, maybe someone will search the 1850FC for the info on Mrs. Nancy Gordon (age, children), Mrs. Catherine James (age, children), and Mrs. Emily Harrod (age, children). CHILDREN of George and Nancy (Coulson/Colston) Polsgrove: [I have now deleted my notion that Harrison belonged here] Sanford, b. 1815, m. 12-7-1835, Nancy HARROD, dau of John and Nancy (Brewer)Harrod; Nancy, b. ____, m. 12-1-1836, William Gordon; Sarah, b. 1818, m. 1-20-1836, Davis HARROD; Jacob, b. 1820, m. ____, Jane HARROD,b.1825, sister of Elijah HARROD; Catherine, b. ____, m. 8-22-1840, John S. James; [Mary Ann, b. 1823, m. 11-24-1845, Dudley Porter] [[I have seen where someone has included this Mary as a dau of Jacob3, but Jacob's dau Mary was never married per his will]]. Emily, b. ____, m. 7-19-1846, James L.HARROD; Henry, b. 1827, m. 12-20-1858, m. Martha HARROD; America, b. 1828, m. 1-18-1852, James M. Lewis; (Lewis family of Shelby Co. also connected with Henry of Hickman--don't know if it is the same family). Matilda Jane, b. 1829, m. 12-15-1856, Willis Long; Lucinda, b. 1831, m. 5-12-1853, James Henry HARROD. A diary in Sharon's possession says that George had 12 children. As you can see, w/o Harrison, this list has only 11 children. I had confused George's Mary with Jacob's Mary who had never married. Finding George's Married Mary solved this problem about Nancy (Polsgrove)Gordon as well. The result of that is above. In a project I'm working on now with Kent Forbis, he supplied the marriage of Catherine, Henry's daughter, to John T. Griffin, and I found references to Catherine being married to a John S. James 9-3-1840, same as George's Catherine above. So another bunch of stuff taking a marriage from one family and using in another. So I am going to leave this John S. James right here with George's Catherine and keep Henry's Catherine with John Griffin where she belongs. I wouldn't have found this without Kent's help. John
