Jeri,
I did receive your mail - simply been very busy. Here is message I have sent to others re parentage of James being associated with John & Sarah Pollock of Onslow NC: We have discovered two copies of John's will dated 22 Sep 1770, and probate date Jan 1771. The will is the primary basis of my best summary of John's family: Testator John b abt 1730, md abt 1754/55, d bef Jan 1771 and aft 22 Sep 1770 in Onslow; wife Sarah b abt 1732/33, d aft Jan 1771; son William b abt 1756 (eldest son, and he was under 21, and was given firstborn's portion of father's estate upon his reaching legal age); several children did not survive until will date - b ?; dau Mary;
dau Elizabeth, birthyears unknown; son Jesse b 1763 (per Georgia cemetery marker); son John b abt 1765; dau Jane (Jean) b aft will date 1770. No James included. This is a picture of young and growing family. There remains many questions when compared to historical accounts written. Let's exchange documented info.Have direct line descendancy from James & Amy to my present family. Will send snail mail if you wish. Thanks & best wishes.Thomas
Thomas.
