Thanks Betty and Mike,
I'm not sure when our situation happened we have been Polk's for at least 185 years as I can trace Nelson Polk to Pennsylvania b. 1832 I am thinking the Bogue DNA comes in before 1750 or so but I don't know. I know the families lived very close in Scotland. Interesting because your spelling seems to be a mix of both names! If I find anything more I will let you know, can you please do the same?
Thanks,
Nicole
