Additional notes:

ftp://ftp.us-census.org/pub/usgenweb/census/nc/jones/1790/pg0424.txt

CENSUS YEAR: 1790 STATE: NC COUNTY: Jones

Numbers represent free whites/ males 16+ yrs./ males -16 yrs./ females/ other free/ slaves.

425-34 Pollock, James 1 1 1 . 1

426-8 Pollard, William 2 . 3 . .
426-9 Pollock, Jesse 1 1 2 . .
426-10 Brown, John 1 . 3 . .

Good possibility that 'William Pollard' should be William Pollock, Jesse's brother and the oldest son mentioned in the will of John Pollock. Also worth noting that Jesse is next door John Brown, the family of his sister Jean.

A list of marriage bonds from Jones Co., NC for 1785 (brides not named) includes Jesse Pollock and John Brown.

McBride. 1982. Consolidated list of marriage license purchases in North Carolina. 1785-1791. No Car Gen Soc Journal. 8(4):199.
