There may very well be a connection, We have a John Pollitt married to an Elizabeth ? 15 Sept 1893 in Manchester. They had two sons Thomas chr. 19 Feb 1797 who marroed Alice Dean in 1825, This is my line and it leads off to Canada about 1907. There was another brother John who we know nothing about, nor do we have info on their parents. They were all from the Bury area in Lancashire, so I am hoping we might find some folks in common. I am posting three pictures of women, photos were all taken in Rhode Island, we have no idea who they are or what their connection is to us, but they were in the Pollitt family photo Album kept by great grandmother Harriet Pollitt and Great grandfather John Pollitt. I will also post pictures of them in case you may recognize any family traits. I will put them on my website at http://www.littlemac2.com\
