The lady who inquired about the picture is Deborah Burgess who has done a bunch of research on the Pollitt family as well due to her families acquaintance in England and America with the Pollitt's. She was going to give the picture to the genealogy society in Winneshiek County where she will be doing some research.
I would love to have you purchase the picture for me and make arrangements for that. I would also be happy to have a copy made and present it to the Winneshiek Co society for their archives. That would accomplish two things. Family wouldhave the original and the local area where they lived and died would also have it on file.
I have relatives that have lived in California. One of them died several years ago in Sacramento. Her husband was a Pollitt and he had quite a bit of information. I hope that the family did not dispose of things in this manner since there were only a few of them left.
