George/Martha/Edgar, etc., 1830s+, Tyler TX

I've been searching on Pollitt, not Pollett, because that was the spelling in a family bible from Smith Co. TX.

I just recently found a lot of census data for my folks in East TX, where the data was recorded as Pollett.

My g-g-grandfather was Edgar Pollitt/Pollett. A portion of his land was essentially taken over to create downtown Tyler TX in 1847, the county seat when Smith Co. was carved out of Nacogdoches Co. in 1845-46.

Does anyone have info regarding George, sp. Martha or Edgar Pollitt/Pollett, probably from MD/KY to TX abt. 1830s???

The urls below address these folks.

Any info will be greatly appreciated and I will share whatever I have that may help you.

Thanks. ...........Fred
