I saw your response on Genealogy Forum to someone looking for information on William Pollard, died 1817.I too am a descendant of Richard Pollard, Abbeville, SC.I hae him married to Sarah (believe her to be the daughter of Isaac Mitchell).Their son, Richard Austin Pollard was marreid to Charlotte (surname probably Rogers). He died in Monroe County Alabama in 1850.
Their son, also a Richard Austin Pollard, was my g-grandfather. After his father died, he and his mother, Charlotte, plus other family members moved to Bradley County, AR, where my grandfather, Richard Lester Pollard was born.
I would love to get the information that you have on James Pollard, the first Richard's father.I believe his wife to have been named Elizabeth, based on an entry in Sarah Pollard's bible records which were submitted when she applied for a Revolutionary soldiers widow's pension.I found James' name in a library in Laurens, SC but don't have a definite connection from him to Richard.
Hope to hear from you soon!!
