Unfortunately, I don't know much about my great-grandfather Jacob Pollack's history. What I know are family tales that may be inaccurate. Apparently Jake is from a large, wealthy ship-building family from Minsk. He eloped with Minnie Leader (sp?) from Krinker, Poland, and came to the U.S. around 1900. He and Minnie settled in Chicago. I don't have any more information on Jake's parents or brothers or sisters. Any info would be appreciated.
