I am in the line of one of those pesky polks in Tenn. that married into the LeMaster family. My 3rd great grandfather was Joseph Lee Polk. He was born 1788 in N.C. and died and buried in Maury County, Tn. in 1868. He is believed to be a brother to William b.1775, Richard b. 1777 and John b. abt. 1786.
I am planning on getting a DNA test shortly. Could anyone tell me if Ancestry.com or Familytree.com. is superior to the other.
