Bill,
I read with interest your post the other day concerning your revelations about your family. This puts you and I nearly in the same boat. At this time, I can only speculate on the parents of my ancestor, Charles T. Polk, 1780-1839. He had two sons that lived and married in Hardin Co., TN, but neither had a male heir that survived past about 1936, and I only recently found two of these grandchildren of C. T. Polk that survived until the mid 30’s in adjacent Decatur Co., TN. Looks like a dead end where DNA is concerned.

I know you will redouble your efforts to find your ancestors. Keep me and “Ole” Charles T. Polk in mind with your search.

David
