Unfortunately for you, and actually all of us, the comparison is male to male. However, it benefits all Polk descendants to have every line tested, so if you can influence those males Polks living near of the Charles Polk line to be tested, that would be very helpful to zeroing in on the closest progenitor most of us come from, that is William Polk who m. Margaret Taylor (my bet is you are from them, too). For your info, we have had three male Polks tested, one from an unknown line there in TN. out of Bedford Co., (who compares nicely to me in the 33 marker test, then to Arkansas, another from Thomas Polk of Darlington Dist., SC., (who is not nearly as close to me as the one from TN.)myself being the third.
