Poling Settlers in Allegany Co MD (1788)

Does anyone have any information on daughters of the early Polings who settled at George's Creek in Allegany County, MD. Richard, Martin Sr., and Margaret all received land by virture of improvements they had made to lots at George's Creek. Their lots surround those of my known ancestor, Nicholas Holsbury. I have been trying to verify who his wife Catharine was. I have eliminated most of the families living in this area. The two I have left are Poling and Corbus.

Holsbury is a very rare name in this country and all of the Holsbury/Holtsberry families appear to have descended from this couple. I believe Catharine must have been related to close neighbors. Was she a Poling? Her eldest child was born between 1780 and 1783 (conflicting dates).

Nicholas and Catharine went to Ohio sometime between 1800 and 1805 settling in Fairfield (Perry) and then Licking County.

Are there any church records listing daughters of Martin (1707) and Sarah? I show son Samuel b. 1725 and next son Peter born in 1743 leaving quite a space in between.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Karen
