My information reads this way! Amos Poland the elder, was born abt. 1778 and married Comfort Hopkins. Most researchers agree on that. The younger Amos according to my info. was the grandson of this Amos, the son of James Poland. who was married twice, once to a Rachel Ruckman and then to an Agnes Wolfe.
