Thank you Linda for getting back to me.
Can we really trust the information on the Death Certificate as being 100% correct especially when it comes to a spelling of a location, maybe if the deceased filled it out before his departure.
No other Canadian document on this ancestor? Have you been able to go to the church the ancestor attended, got married or had a child baptized? One would think that there would be a slightly correct spelling of a place of birth.
Nothing in Poland under Celetz. Sure there is Sielec, Sielnica, Sielce, Celejow, Celestynow and more.
The office clerk wrote the location as it sounded to her/him.
