Just found your message. I have also researched the Bakalarzewo area. My grandfather was born in Garbas in that parish. The priest there does not help researchers. He has told my cousins in Poland, when they researched the church records, that he does not understand people's fascination with the names of dead people. He has told me he is too busy to do research for me even though I offered to send the church a substantial donation. I found most of my information using LDS microfilmed records for Bakalarzewo. My cousins in Poland connected our two families by going to the church and convincing the priest to help them.
