I have recently discovered my Great-Grandmothers place of birth is listed as Krzywlki, Poland. I had seen Suwalki mentioned before and I believe to have found Krzywulki to be the most correct town. Alexandra Gwiazdowski and her brother John Gwiazdowski came to the US in the early 1900's and settled in Lackawanna County, PA. This area seemed to attract a lot of immigrants from the Suwalki region. What Polish records are available and how does one go about trying to obtain them? All I have for Alexandra's birth is a year - 1886. John's birth is listed as 25 Aug 1889.

Their parents names are listed as Albert Gwiazdowski and Anna Talenda. I'm stumped at how some people can research their family trees back to the 1700's, when I can't seem to get past a mere 100 years ago!!!

Anyone have any ideas? I've come up with nothing on the LDS site and not sure where/what to search next. Thanks for any ideas!
