I am so thrilled by this news! All my life I wanted to know more about him. Is your aunt Ewa still alive? There is so much potential to explore the rest of the family through Stanislaw's brothers - it's not a common Polish name so I feel there must be a very good chance of making more connections. So, did your father ever speak about him?
I have only one large photo of him, in his army uniform, maybe aged late 20s and very handsome. Would you like a copy? I did have other pictures but they seem to have been lost over the years.
Do you mind if we keep in touch? My family network is so small. On my mother's side I have only one cousin left alive. I have 2 young children, Luke 13 and Julia 11, who would also love to know more. I had an older sister, Eugenia Irena, who sadly died last year of lung cancer aged just 63. And it sounds as if your father died relatively young too?
What brought you all to Canada, after the end of communism?
Sorry to load you with all these questions!
