Hi Shannon,
Let’s start with the John and Henrietta Gryzlikowski Family.First, there is no Polish surname “Gryzlikowski”.The correct family surname could be Gre~z~likowski with Polish diacritical marks under the “e” and above the “z”.
There is a New York (Ellis Island) arrival record for a Honorata and Stefania “Grenzlikowska” (the Polish alphabet character “e” with the Polish diacritical mark below has an “en” sound.
They arrived in New York on May 11, 1899 on board the S.S. Lahn.Their destination was 422 East 2nd Street in Wilmington Delaware where they were going to join their husband and father.
They listed Teklin Russia as their last residence.
There is a Hamburg Departure and corresponding New York arrival record for a Jan “Grenzlikowski”.He left Hamburg on board the S.S. Prussia on March 25 and arrived in New York on April 8, 1896.According to the Hamburg Index, Jan’s last residence was “Ossowko”, Russland.
Michel Grygo’s May 7, 1904 Hamburg departure record and May 20, 1904 New York arrival record indicate that his last residence was “Czizew”, Russland.
There is no location in Poland with that name.Perhaps it should be CZYZEW.He traveled on the vessel Belgravia.
There is a location in Poland with the name Kruszowka but it is about 140 kilometers from Lomza.
Hopefully, someone else on this Forum can sort all of this out for us.
Best regards,
Norbert
