PS. Yes, most local priests here in Poland don't have time, even possibility to make any genealogical and family research, you and all Amercians must remember they are mainly for saving local souls, and to maintain the parich and church.
PS. Your family ancestral Maszkienice has very rich history. Your Maszkienice has the website in Polish, and I can tell you from there, for your American Family Immigration History Book:
Family origin MASZKIENICE
Founded in 1336 by Polish king Kazimierz Wielki (Casimir the Great)
Abt 1576 census stated there 16 homes and abt 80 inhabitants
At the end of the 19th century Maszkienice was overpopulated - in 1879 counted 1144 inhabitants, and many youngsters were sent to America looking for new and better life and country for them.
After the WWI American families helped in constructed the new local primary school building, and this is possible that your American families Grochola, Kubala, Kubik, and Zborowski helped as well.
Tad
