Hi Laura,
If your great grandparents were in fact from Passaic NJ and lived at 148 Eighth Street, then they would have been members of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic (Polish) parish located at 6 Wall Street in Passaic NJ 07055, telephone number (983) 473-1578. It might be worth a telephone call to the parish office to see if they have baptismal records for your grandmother and her siblings (and possibly a marriage record for your great grandparents).
