I live in Northeast Indiana--Goshen,Warsaw, Elkhart, South Bend (Which seemed to have a lot of Polish names) and would like to help members of this post with info from this area--for free. I don't have tons of time or look up experience, but if you provide me details and where you want me to go to get info, I will. Why free? So many people on these boards bend over backwards to help by sharing their knowledge. I don't have a whole lot of knowledge, but I do have a car and some time to get specific info, like pics of gravestones, or records with semi-close dates to looks up. I guess I am offering to get things/info you already know is here but can't get to because it has to be done in person. I have seven children at home and the hubby works out of town during week so actual research and browsing for hours is out.
I don't know how long the South Bend Tribune has been around but obits and stories are most likely available at one of the libraries around here. Just trying to pull my weight. You all are great!
