I'm sorry I cannot help you to find earlier connections to your family.I just wanted you to know that the name was more common in Poland in the 19th century.Several families POLLEJ were living in the Kolo and Konin regions of Russian Poland during this time. There were also a few in the Gostynin and Nowa Wies regions.I have seen a database from these areas covering the years about 1800-1860 with over 100 individuals listed. In Canada, the name is spelled same as yours, POLLEY but in some cases also POLEI.Some with the last spelling married into my KREUTZ family in Alberta.I do not know their origins or genealogy.
The central Archive in Warsaw as well as many regional archives have many Lutheran records that might help you to trace your family. However, I cannot say for certain if any are available for the Lobzenica region.
