Emily Poindexter-Dunlap 1812-1892 NC? TN-IA parents?

I descend from Emily Poindexter Dunlap b. Dec. 15, 1812, possibly NC (not SOUTH Carolina as she said on census)--married William A.D. Dunlap in 1832--place in Tennesee unknown. Died Marshall County, Iowa in 1892 (dates from tombstone). Parents believed to be John Joseph Poindexter b. about 1770, place unknown: lived in Rutherford County, Madison County and Hardeman County, TN died just after 1840. He had 3 sons and 4 daughters. Emily appears to have been the oldest daughter. His wife was maybe named Susannah_____? born 1775-1780, died about 1850. Emily's 2nd daughter, Nancy Ellen Dunlap Guinn Dark (1836-1912) claimed she named her daughters after family members, and that her oldest was named for her maternal grandmother. Her daughters were named (1) Susannah Poindexter Guinn, (2) Lucretia Almedia Guinn, and (3) Martha Jane Dark. Martha Jane Dark may have been named after the Dunlap aunt who helped Nancy elope. William A.D. Dunlap and his wife Emily Poindexter Dunlap and all but two of his children (his oldest daughters were the exceptions) moved from Lauderdale County, TN to Marshall County, IA in 1857.

William A.D. Dunlap bounced back and forth between his paternal grandparents in Humphreys County, TN and his parents in Montgomery County in the late 1820's and early 1830's. His and Emily's oldest daughter, Hannah Jane Dunlap Tilman/Tillan was recorded in family records as having been born June 12, 1833 in Montgomery County. However, Emily and William A.D. Dunlap were said to have been married in or near Humphreys County. The only Poindexter in this area was the man who went by Joseph Poindexter in Rutherford County and John Poindexter in Madison and Hardeman County. We don't know how many other places he and his family lived or where he and his wife died. Any help supported by documentation on this line is greatly appreciated. I'm the same person who put out a query that got no response in 2005. I keep hoping that SOMEONE SOMEDAY recognizes this Tennessee twig of the Poindexter line.
