A picture and biography/family history of Philip H. Poindexter are included in "Progressive Men of the State of Montana". Parents: Watson E. & Judith S. (Boyd) Poindexter, natives of Virginia. On 8 Apr 1869, Philip married Mrs. Mary E. (Sappington) Baxter, native of MO. Mary died Jan 1887. Poindexter children: Henry T., Frances S. (Mrs. W.V. Kinsbury), Emma May (Mrs. Frank Cooney), George G., Walter.
