My daughter was on a road trip recently and stopped for a break in Austin Nevada at one of the old cemeteries there. She snapped a few photos of interesting headstones and one of them reads:
Kate Pohl
Born in Pennsylvania
Sept 20, 1855
died Jan 2, 1914
Gone but not forgotten, Dear Mother
Another part of the stone reads:
Beloved wife of Robert Pohl
The 1880 census in Austin shows Robert Pohl a hairdresser who was born in Germany.
