Hello Brent, thank you for your reply. I am very interested in seeing a DNA project begun for the various Pogue [by whatever spelling] lineages.

For those who could participate in such a project and who do have proven lineages back to one of the earliest settlers, they would provide a great service to the rest of us who are still searching for clues to our ancestry. For others it would lead us to more descendants with whom to share our research.

In reading through the messages on this forum today, I found many names were same as those my Robert Pogue, born 1798 in Tennessee, gave his children. Which leads me to believe there is a link there somewhere.
