I have a John Pogue that imigrated in 1818 , and he petitioned for land in the Cobourg area. He married Susannah in November, 1821. John had a brother William who came in 1818 but landed in New York. The 1871 census shows John(23) Margaret(25) Susannah(65)AND John Shouldice(14) living on a farm in Maripose Twp. Susannah died on Dec30, 1874. John died on June 10, 1858.
