hi, i do have info on this peter! it was copied from Pa. FOLKLIFE Spring 1966 edition.
and would be happy to send you a copy.it says he is the son of johann daniel pfaff, miller of the Hospital Mill. there is supposedly an autobio. it says his mother was barbara hartung and that his father died when
he was five.
actually there is quite a bit of info on him
as he was heavily drawn into the Moravian faith.his wife was anna walburga kerber.
after moving from Pa. he was steward of the
Friedberg Congregation.they had 6 children
and she died in 1774 . he later moved to
Bethania.
the article goes on to say his mother was not
really b.hartung but maria magdalena and he had a sister maria juliana.
pfafftown(pofftown) was named for peter,it
was similar to the nickname for kaiserslautern - pfaffstadt - where the famos
pfaff sewing machine started and may have been his family.just send me your mailing address if you would like a copy - glad to share.hoping
someday someone will find what we need to
track down a german location for our family.
