Thomas Poe, Private Rank and file.
Muhlenburg's Brigade, Ewell's Co. 1st VA rgt.
Stirling's Division.
Born 1749 in VA., he was 28 years when the army

William Poe, Private Rank and File. 1st VA Brigade

5th Division.

My interest in Poe's goes to John of German
descent in Frederick Co., VA. His father
is Baltzer or Balthazar Poe. Seeking more info.
on his origins...etc.
Name has several variants. Pow/Powe/Poh/Po etc.

John served on VA. Continental Line and
is a designated Patriot who served in
American Revolution and is buried in Ross Co OH.
I suspect a possible kinship to the Poe's
in Frederick Co MD., also of German descent.

If my information is correct, there were English,
Irish, and German Poes all living in MD/VA about
the same time...including Edgar A.
It gets very confusing.
