I have been researching the beville/bevel/bevil line from franklin county Tn. and I believe a Mary Poe married James Bevel - (the spelling changes at every census) - he died in 1840 - she died, I believe in 1852 - they had 6 children - who were farmed out after their fathers death - Edward, lewis, william, john h. Andrew jackson beville and henry D. Beville.
