Do you mean the Adam SIRK, b. ca. 1760, m. ca. 1780, who had Jacob Wesley, Wm., Julia, Isaac, Catherine, Anna S., & John? Some contributors of information on Adam SIRK are listed on FamilySearch. If you do a Google search for "Adam Sirk," you can find descendants of Adam SIRK and also some land records. The 1790 Census of York Co., PA, may list him as Adam SARK, 1-2-3 (one male 16+, two males under 16, and three females). If that is the same person in York Co., PA, then the wife's maiden name might have been POAL, POFF, POLK(E), etc., but I don't see any POE nearby.Could Catherine/Kate POE have been a second wife? The migration route from Pennsylvania to Virginia often went through Fredk. Co., MD.
I do not really think my family fits, but here it is: George Jacob POE's son George POE & Catherine WILLARD had a daughter Catherine, bpt. 8 Apr. 1772, Fredk. Co., MD, named (under 16) in will of grandfather Dewalt WILL(I)ARD, made 26 N 1781, pr. 12 Jan. 1782. There are conflicting records on these families.{Surprise!} George POE went to Fayette Co., PA, but it appears that the children by his first wife may have stayed in Maryland.
Lewis Co., [now W] VA, was formed in 1816 from Harrison Co., which was formed in 1784 from Monongalia. What records do you have of the family in Virginia before 1800?
