George Poe (1791-1888) Beaver Co. PA
George was the younger son of Andrew Poe, who was famous for his leadership of a 1781 fight with Wyandot Indians.George married Lydia Fry and remained at the Andrew Poe farm near Georgetown and Hookstown, Beaver County, PA.
George was my great-great-grandfather.I have photos of George and Lydia and George's cane, but I have little information about the rest of this family line.
George, Lydia, and their unmarried daughter, Margaret, are buried near Andrew in the Old Mill Creek cemetery near Hookstown. My great grandfather was their youngest child, George Washington (G.W.)
