Hello Podchlebnik Family,
I'm Jaapjan de Back and 42 years old. I live in the Netherlands. Considering my age I have no answer to your question posted a long time ago.. But I'm a teacher with a special interest to the second world war and especially the holocaust.
To make a long story short.. I'm still trying to somehow make sense of it all.
I saw the shoah film of Claude Lanzmann and it made a very big impression. It is too much to tell about it in this message. There are no words for the story of who I think is your relative, Michael Podchlebnik. That counts for all the survivors, but Michael somehow stands out for me. I liked him as soon as I saw him and therefor I was touched by him the most. I hope that people will find the time to watch this film from time to time.
I was wondering if Michael was still alive (That would be a miracle)and if he is, I would like to know how he is.
I would like to tell you that his testemony will not be in vain. Now that most witnesses will be gone, I will make an effort to tell the story to everyone I know. Because it teaches a lot about everything important in life.
Regards,
Jaapjan
