Dear Jay This is all very interesting but clearly we're missing a crucial link which may only come to light with research "on the ground". However, I have a feeling one would be lucky to find something not already unearthed by my great uncle, Hugh Pocock's remarkable diligence. Sarah Money hailed from Bucklebury but according to Hugh's research married Charles Pocock on Dec 9 1703 at St Mildred's, Poultry in London. They had five children, Charles (1704), Sarah (1706), Mary (1712), Frances (1716 or 17), and Jane (1719), which would put Sarah Money's birth date around the early to mid-1680's. Her christening, which your research shows was in 1688 would suggest, if we're talking about the same person, that she gave birth to Charles at the age of 17-18. Young, but plausible, especially since Hugh has qualified the birth dates of all the chidren with "Abt". A couple more names linking your information with mine and I think we'll be on the money, as it were. According to your information it looks as though, in marrying the daughter of Sarah Pocock, William was marrying a cousin of some sort, and that "your" Sarah Pocock was not the same individual as Sarah Money and Charles's daughter. I'm afraid that the earliest William I have is William Frederick Henry Pocock (16/5/1857-2/7/1922) and father of five children. The C18th and C19th Pococks had such huge families that the tree is pretty daunting though I dont have any Brasier, Horton, Browne or Osgood. Neither is there any Moses Pocock. I hope I've helped. Keep asking questions, I have scores of Pococks! Notify Administrator about this message?
