I'm looking for descendents of Lawrence Stephen Pocock (born 28 March 1852 in Great Marlow, Bucks, England; died 1921 in Australia) and Matilda Skinner (born 12 July 1854 in Chatham, Kent, England), my great grand parents. Some of what I know already: They married in England, 8 Jan 1871; their first child Emily Matilda (Dec 1871-May 1872) was buried in Frindsbury, Rochester, Kent. They moved to Australia in 1872 where Lawrence set up as a bricklayer. They had 12 more children: Ella born 1873, Ada (1874) who had daughters Ada (1899) and Vera (Vedes) (1907) (both of whom corresponded with my mother, Phyllis Viola Edwards, in the 40's to 70's), Amelia(1877), Henry (1880), Albert (1882), Agnes (1884-1939)who had a daughter Millie with whom my mother corresponded, Phyllis (my grandmother, born Redfern, NSW, 7 Aug 1886, died Ipswich, Suffolk, England, 15 June 1972), Rose (1887), Doris, Charles (1892-1949), Violet (1894-1952) and Jessica (1896-1952).
I'd be interested to hear from any other descendants of these people, especially of Ada, Vedes and Millie.
My mother (now aged 92) may know more about this dynasty, but this is what she has told me so far.
Thank you very much.
