You can see an online portrait of Sir George at the National Portrait Gallery

I am trying to link him to Nicholas Pocock who was born in 1709 in Bristol. Sir george was born in 1706 and was also said to have come from Bristol and who's father was a vicar. Nicholas was a Captain on the ship "Lloyd" and was also founder of the Royal Watercolour Society.

The date 21 Feb 1706 in a previous message was for Essex. Did they move to Bristol?

It is also thought that George married a descendant of Sir Francis Drake.

Any thoughts?
