Hello all I'm the "source" of this mess. how I learned of this situtation is as follows. I have a good friend and elder Mrs. MaryAnn Griffith. mrs. Griffith is one half Innu One fourth Delaware and one fourth Welsh. She is also a retired soical studies teacher as well as a geneologist. She has a friend -a member of the Whitehead branch of the Rolfe family- who asked her to do her family tre so to speak. Ms Whitehead granny lived in the hallows of Appalachia. She is the one who told this story that was passed down the genrations.Kococum and Pochantas had a daughter Christianed Hannah who married a Lewis. It is from this line that Merriweather Lewis of Lewis and Clark came from.Your ficton writer seems to me is trying to sooth her guilty Christian conscience to at the expense of this family.Think of this if Pocahontas became pregnant with Thomas so soon then who WAS his daddy hummm? Oh by the way Ms. Whitehead is a dead ringer for Pocahontas.Thank you for your time Mrs. Christine Moore- descended from both Opechancanough and his brother.
