Theory about ancestry of Elizabeth Poage m. Archibald Hopkins

I have a theory that Elizabeth Poage that married Archibald Hopkins is the daughter of William Poage & Ann. William Poage is the son of John Poage & Jean/Jane Boggs. I have no proof but looking at the descendants of Robert & John Poage this seems like the best fit. It follows the Scottish naming system and seems like the only possible son of Robert or John that would be likely. Has anyone come up with any records on William? It would be great to get this mystery solved.
