My name is Sherri Cleghorn Williams. Are you familiar with Chalkey's "Records in Augusta, Co., Virgina"? These records show that on Nov. 16, 1752, John Poage and Mary his wife, conveyed to William Cleghorn, blacksmith, 214 acres land on Cedar Creek, of James River. Frances Cowan's land.
