Can anyone tell me about Lowrey Poag who according to an autobiograpy of Rev. John Wesley Bowden, married his aunt, Jane Bowden. This would have occurred sometime about mid 1830s and possibly in Lawrence or Wayne Counties in Tennessee? I thought I had found them in the census in Lawrence Co. TN, but according to an article in the Wayne County Tn History, he is Samuel Leonidas Poag who married Jane STAGGS. There is no marriage for either of these in the records there.
