Plummers in Piatt Co., Illinois

I have managed to verify my lineage back up my Plummer line to a George W. Plummer who married Martha Barr-Mahanes in Effingham Co., Illinois on Sept 3, 1862. I find Martha and 3 children - Minertavia, George Orin (Oriett on Census), and Daniel Albert in Goose Creek, Piatt Co., Illinois. She is living next to her parents, the Mahanes, but George is nowhere to be seen. I cannot figure out if he died, was working somewhere else, if they were divorced, or if he might have just run-away and left her. Don't know where he came from and have no other info besides his name. He would have been born around 1840 or earlier. I am hoping someone will recognize this and help me follow his line backwards. My Grandmother though that her G-pa, (George Orin), claimed some land in Wyoming due to some indian heritage. Don't know if this will help, but just a tidbit that may hold some clues.
Thanks for reading and any help you can provide, Cheri
