Hello Paul Taylor!
I have all of the Plummers in my Computer Genealogy program listd in the Ancestors of Francis Plummer, one of founders of Newbury, Essex, MA, 1635, and more.
Probably 95% of his descendants spread out into the New England states including Vermont. I have a number of Plummers of VT who are descendants of Francis Plummer, but I don't know which, if any of them, are related to Russell Plummer.
Henry Plummer, b ca 1812, Westhaven, Rutland, VT. was a son of Russell Plummer. In the 1881 Canadian Cenus, Quebec,Henry Plummer is listed as b 1838, Westhaven, Rutland, VT. Surely the same Russell Plummer. All I know about Henry.
If you could obtain a copy of the Death Certificate of Russell Plummer, in NY, it might just list his parents?
As you probably know, a number of Plummers & other NE folks wanted no part of the War of 1812 vs Mother England & moved to Canada. This may be the reason that some of these moved there.
I do have some notes in Russell Plummer's file. I think I sent them to you before?
Please keep me posted. Leonard Lowell Plummer
