Kendall, Steven and Denton Plumlee
Does anyone have handy, all of the information on the Plumlee men who married the Johnson women?
I would really appreciate this info.
It has been several years now that we have tried to find the origin of my husbands line and everywhere that we turn lately, we run into the Johnsons.
Is there a possibility that there were other children that were never connected to these lines?
We have the fact that my husband's Grandfather called Alvin "Greenie" Plumlee (a Johnson/Plumlee descendant), his cousin and was even buried next to him.
Then there's the court papers where my husband's Great Great Grandfather W.F Plumlee's widow, Annie Stone Plumlee, is being sued by a D.B. Johnson and gives the impression by saying that he was family, that he may have been related to this Plumlee line.
She indicated that he was less than professional so I would like to think that he was W.F.'s relation and not hers. (I personally don't care for the TN. stereotypes so I'll keep a good thought).
Anyway, we have run across several other instances where the Johnson name pops up in conjunction with our Plumlee line. I'm working on retracing all of this now to find out just how many times we've seen this.
I know that almost everyone else out there has found their connection and may no longer be interested but there are still some of us who are hanging in the wind so to speak.
If anyone has helped you out in the past with your line please take the time now to go back and reread all of my past posts and see if anything rings a bell.
To those of you who have replied in the past and have tried so hard to help us out, my sincerest thanks. May you be blessed for your kindness.
Our William F. Plumlee was born in 1825 and died March 1912 in Clay County TN.
I have much more info. if anyone needs it we just can't make a connection to anyone else.
Just thought I'd make one final plea.
We are now looking into a professional genealogist and possibly DNA testing.
This is very important to my husband for several reasons and I'd just like to make sure that we've left no stone unturned.
Thanks in advance for any help and your patience in reading this long post.
Sincerely,
Penny
