Hi Linda,
Do you know anything about Melissa Emmaline Brown's family. It seems that there were a few ties between the Plumlees, Browns and Butlers.
Newton C. Butler (1831 - 10/10/1864), Butler's Landing, TN, married Jane Plumlee (1834 - 1875), daughter of Kendall & Mariah (Johnson) Plumlee.Newton died as a p.o.w. during the Civil War at Camp Sumpter in Andersonville, GA.
g-gp>William Jasper Butler (1859 - 1952), Franklin County, IL, married Melissa Emmaline Brown (1860 - 1952).Both died at Tecumseh, Pottawatomie Co, OK.
gp>George Washington Frazier (1886 - 1956), born in Gadsden?, AL, married Louella Butler (1887 - 1969), born Franklin Co, IL.Both buried at Kingfisher, Kingfisher Co, OK.
Any information you have I would dearly like to see, especially concerning Mellissa Brown's and Mariah Johnson's families.
Sincerely,
Ron Frazier
PS>Anyone out there know who James Plumlee (37) is who shows up in the 1910 census of Shawnee, Pottawatomie, OK?He has a wife Darria? and five children.
