Hello Jeffrey,

Reverend William Plumb was born 26 Dec 1748, 8th of 11 children, and died 2 Jun 1842, age 93 years, 5 months, 6 days. He married Sarah Milner, and they left no children, according to H.B. Plumb in the PLUMB BOOK. H.B. Plumb says "Rev. William...was Regimental and Brigade Chaplain in the Revolution, and received a pension in 1818 of $340, and in 1828 of $480, per annum."

According to some, William's Grandfather Benoni (abt 1671-6 Oct 1754) was the son born out of wedlock to my ancestor John Plumbe, and Sarah Cornwell, daughter of Sgt. William Cornwell. However, I've never seen documentation (Hartford court case, alledgedly taking place in 1671/1672) to substantiate that information.

Chuck Plumb
