I'm looking for any information regarding an Elizabeth Ploof who married an Evangelist Gero/Giroux (or any other form of that name) and had a son William Gero/Giroux who was born in Saranac, New York on 16 February 1883. There is a marriage record in New York state archives for an Elizabeth Ploof getting married on 27 April 1882 in Saranac, NY and I believe it's possible this is the Elizabeth Ploof who marries Evangelist. However, there was no sign of the matching record for any Evangelist Gero/Giroux. Does anyone have anything that would match this record so I could find out who the groom is? Another alternative would the birth record for William Gero on 16 February 1883 in Saranac, NY which also could not be found in the files (source for that date and location are census and his marriage record.) I'm trying to figure out if we may have an incorrect version of the groom's name.
